North Dakota

While we're on the subject of the Dakotas (I know, I know they have some redeeming qualities), I have to recommend this gallery of photos on the National Geographic website. It's called "The Emptied Prairie," and it features photos of abandoned homes, roads, churches. There is an obligatory creepy doll in there, and a schoolroom still full of desks and yellowing books. The photos are fascinating and eerie, and worth looking at.

Ok, I might not be able to sleep tonight, thank you very much! I don't know what it is about dolls & clowns but they can be so disturbing.

That said, I'll have to put my vote in for keeping South Dakota. I've not traveled more than the Black Hills area but Custer State Park & Mt. Rushmore are definitely places everyone should see at least once.

Scary. I had been awhile since you posted a scary doll picture, so I guess I should have anticipated this.

Should I just rename the blog? "frighteningdolls.blogspot.com"? It *is* a recurring theme.
