yet another reason to avoid pot pies

From nyt.com:

"Increasingly, the corporations that supply Americans with processed foods are unable to guarantee the safety of their ingredients. In this case, ConAgra could not pinpoint which of the more than 25 ingredients in its pies was carrying salmonella. Other companies do not even know who is supplying their ingredients, let alone if those suppliers are screening the items for microbes and other potential dangers, interviews and documents show."

YIKES.

no kidding. I think that's one of the reasons it is good to grow our own food.

Been making my own pot pies because my boy is allergic to milk. Ok, so I don't make the crust, usually, but still. hahah.

I have never liked pot pies! Can't explain it...they just always taste so gross to me.

I wonder if homemade pot pies would taste better...

I'm not a big pot pie fan myself. I don't even really like the homemade ones. I am not sure if it is the idea of eating a pie with meat in it or what....I think I prefer mine with chocolate or apples preferably with ice cream on top.

still, it is scary to know that processed foods like those aren't really regulated very well. Just one more reason to eat better.

I love SAYING "pot pie" and incorporating those words into songs but the food itself is a little gross. I always feel like I can't get it off my teeth afterward, even if I brush.
