So I'm at the point where thinking ahead is causing sufficient anxiety to make me want to throw up. That's not hyperbole, either. (Packing up your whole house by yourself while single parenting will do that to a person.)
But I visited a dear friend today, a friend who always provides very helpful advice (and chocolate). What she said brought a measure of peace to my mind: "Things are as they should be." I think it's going to be my new mantra. So I'll be getting rid of "By the power of Greyskull... I have the POWER!"

We use "Everything will work out...it always does."
I have to tell myself a lot that worrying isn't an action and accomplishes very little. Sometimes I take my own advice, but usually I just look down and find my left hand in a fist.
My mantra is from Seinfeld. Whenever I feel stressed and like I am going to lose it I say "Serenity Now". When that doesn't work, which it usually doesn't, I scream "Hoochie Mama"!
Meredith, you are awesome. I'm totally going to scream "Hoochie Mama!" the next time I feel stressed out. I'll try not to direct it at any women in the vicinity, just to be on the safe side.
