hooray for the D+!

I was reading about this Civic Literacy Quiz and the miserable scores of most Americans who took it, not to mention ELECTED OFFICIALS who also scored very poorly. I have to say I was feeling pretty confident. As you might guess, it's been a long time since I took a history or government class, but I read the newspaper and plenty of political blogs and books, etc, so I was ready to score high... and I got a 67%. Sheesh! I really need to read up on The New Deal and international trade, I guess.

It's only 33 questions long so it doesn't take long. If you take it, post your score so I can gauge just how ignorant I really am.

81.82% but I guessed on most of them!

I got "treaties" wrong about Congress. And I knew that one! I'm just a dodo!

84.85% I think editing all that biz copy helped a bit.

Um... I'll make excuses... it's after 11pm... ;-) I'm tired. My score: 78.79... ack.

I'd take you up on the Chinese character quiz if I could answer in Japanese. No? Probably wouldn't help me that much anyway.

OK, I got a 69.7% That .7 is very important! Feel any better? The sad part is that I guessed on almost all the economic questions and actually got those right. Scary how little I actually know. Bil got a 72%, but his uncle shared with us that he got a 92%, right when I was sure no one could possibly know this stuff.... Now if only knowledge on literature and pop culture from the 80s were as important....
