So while reading this post by the blogger mentioned below, Stephanie Nielson*, I came upon a wonderful quote from Julie Beck:

After making 3 trips to Target in as many days (not out of greed but disorganization), I am ready to do less shopping. Super Q's birthday is today and I'm ready for less drama and fewer meltdowns (please let 6 be the magic age for evening-out emotions). I'm ready for less stress, now that everyone's recovering from the hurricane, and I'm ready for less time inside and more time outside as fall makes its feeble-at-first entry into Houston.

I love that quote. Something I totally believe in...and things I still am working on.
That is such a powerful quote. It is helped make our decision to cut our cable and while the evenings spent around the table doing a puzzle or playing a game aren't as plentiful as I'd like, it was a good move. Now I need to figure out how to cut out some of the activities and consuming. I am obviously still working on that. I struggle because I don't think it is a bad thing to have the kids involved in sports, but then you add scouts and then all of the responsibilities that Troy and I have as parents and it gets tough.
I love that quote. I need to post it all over my house as a reminder.
Thanks for the link to your blog about breakfast. I remembered that you had written something about breakfast, but couldn't remember if it had been on your blog or in email form. I was hoping you would lead me to it. You had some great ideas that I plan on trying.
