I mean, really!

Will my life ever return to the normal rhythm of get Flash off to school, Super Q to preschool, volunteer at school library, grocery store, make dinner, ride exercise bike, sleep, repeat? I was called to be the Primary president ( in charge of roughly 120 kids between the ages of 2 and 12) at church about 2 weeks ago and, man, am I reeling! Between phone calls and finding substitutes and meetings and issues with teachers and now Cub Scouts, I feel like I'm being stretched to my limits. My body has responded in typical stress-out mode: nausea, migraine, twitchy eye. As Flash would say, in his inimitable way, "I mean, really!"

I'm thinking a tattoo of all of the prophets across my back will help me remember to follow their example as I serve the kids in my ward. Or maybe just a green CTR shield on my ankle?

Wow, that picture is really quite scary!

Congrats on your new calling! I've been there done that, a couple of times now. It's a big job- but you will love it!

I don't know if you saw my other comment or not, but I have really enjoyed finding and reading your blog! You are still so funny! And I now I have a list of books to look for when I go to the library this week.

OH MY GOSH! That is one calling I will hide from. I hope you have some good people you can delegate to. WOW WOW WOW. I know you know this...but if you're getting migraines... it's time for someone to help you out. You can't function if your head would like to rip apart. Or...I can tell your bish... GIVE THE WOMAN A BREAK! ;-)

...and YET - I know they called someone FREAKIN' AMAZING for the role. Hello Mrs TALENTED. ;-)

I was reading your blog and had to laugh at this entry. I have been primary pres for 8 months. . . funny thing though is that 4 weeks after getting that calling, Trent and I signed a contract on a new house. We close tomorrow. We'll be in your stake. So if President gets to be too much, just move.
