the time traveler's wife

i read this book about a month ago. i can't get it out of my head. for a quasi-science fiction novel, it certainly packs an emotional punch. [spoiler------> the idea of knowing that your loved one will certainly return to you, if only for a few hours, after their death, is simultaneously chilling and exhilirating. the cruel, slow, wait for that day is heartbreaking to think about.
